What is 4P

4P stands for 4Plastics; it’s a free email service that brings you a weekly update of the latest clinical and review abstracts published in 3 prominent general plastic surgery journals, complemented by the Journal of Hand Surgery. Issues are supplemented by important articles related to plastic surgery from other 4Abstracts divisions. Our issues are spread out over each month and contain 4 themes: Reconstructive, Hand & Upper extremity, Cosmetic, and Miscellaneous. Otis C. van Varsseveld is Editor in Chief of 4P. He is finalizing his PhD in pediatric surgery at the University Medical Center Groningen, and he recently conducted a research fellowship in hand and peripheral nerve surgery at Harvard Medical School & Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, he works as a resident (not in training) in general surgery at the Martini Hospital in Groningen.

Anne Merijn Eligh is editor of 4P. She graduated in Medicine from Utrecht University in december 2023 and currently works as a full-time PhD candidate at the he Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at the University Medical Center Utrecht. Her research focuses on (cost)effectiveness of lower extremity nerve decompression surgery in patients with diabetic neuropathy.

Florine Binnendijk is Editor of 4Platics. She is performing research at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Amsterdam University Medical Center. She previously worked as a resident (not in training) for the department of Surgery in OLVG (Amsterdam) and Curacao Medical Center. Currently, she works as a resident (not in training) for Plastisch Chirurgen Oost at Ziekenhuisgroep Twente and Medisch Spectrum Twente.
